- Review and approve PPAP and Run@Rate submissions, confirming process capacity, stability, and robust control of key characteristics prior to production release.
- Monitor supplier performance using key quality metrics (PPM, SPPS, PRTS, warranty, launch issues) and drive continuous improvement through structured action plans and workshops.
- Lead structured problem solving (e.g., Red X, 7 Diamonds, 8D/SPPS) for supplier-related issues, from fast containment through root cause analysis and robust long-term corrective actions.
- Conduct on-site supplier assessments and process reviews to verify manufacturing process capability, quality management system robustness, and compliance with IATF 16949 and GM customer specific requirements
- Partner cross-functionally with Design Release Engineering, Manufacturing, Plant Quality, Purchasing, and Launch teams to ensure alignment on design changes, risk mitigation, and launch readiness.
- Develop and share lessons learned across programs and commodities to prevent recurrence of systemic issues and strengthen standard work for sup Supplier Quality and Development.
