The Finance team is responsible for all ZS financial matters, including financial business partnering, planning, analysis, reporting, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger and tax.
FINANCE ANALYST - CONTROLLERSHIP
Seeking to hire a finance analyst within our Controllership Team. The Controllership Team is a dynamic, hardworking and collaborative team responsible for managing the accounting, tax, real estate, and treasury functions within ZS.
Controllership is expected to bring logic, discipline, a controls mindset and expertise to our business stakeholders, both internally and externally. Internal stakeholders include senior leadership, client teams and other enterprise groups, while external stakeholders include our network of lenders, insurance agencies, and tax professionals.
Candidate must be highly motivated and must possess a strong accounting background, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to understand ZS's business. Geographically, our team is located in Evanston and Pune, India.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Controllership team members to ensure a high quality of accounting output for quarterly external financial statements and monthly management reports for use by internal stakeholders, which include departmental heads and senior business leaders
- Assist with month end accounting processes including analytical reviews, posting journal entries, and investigating discrepancies. Coordinate the preparation of the consolidated financial statements and assist with the annual financial statement audit and tax return
- Review and reconcile account activity, and analyze monthly management reports
- Provide assurance to support the accuracy and completeness of our results based on internal policies and US GAAP, as applicable
- Support the Controllership team's management of ZS's acquisition strategy, including M&A accounting and process integration
- Maintain and improve existing finance processes, and collaborate with functional leads to solve business needs and function requirements through the design and implementation of effective business and accounting processes and controls
- Research technical accounting matters and prepare accounting memos
- Lead and participate in other special projects as necessary
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in Accounting, or related area, with strong academic credentials
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferred
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and workstreams
- Detail-oriented with ability to efficiently achieve work results while maintaining high quality
