Solutions Engineer (Tokyo Based)
What you can expect
We are seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer with a proven track record of success to join our team at Zoom. In this role, you will play a key part in driving customer and channel partner success by architecting, designing, and demonstrating tailored solutions that address unique business challenges and objectives.
As a trusted advocate for customers and channel partners, you will work closely with cross-functional teams-including Sales, Product Development, and Customer Success-to ensure seamless solution delivery and business outcomes.
A strong understanding of the Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) industry, along with solid knowledge of the Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) space, is essential. You will be expected to clearly articulate Zoom's solutions and architectural advantages in supporting Account Executives (AEs) and Channel Account Managers (CAMs) help customers overcome their most complex collaboration challenges.
The role is based in Tokyo and will report to the Field and Partner Solutions Engineering Manager,Japan

Responsabilties
- Leading strategic sales engagements and provide expert technical support to customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Building trusted relationships across the customer and channel ecosystem while enabling partners to adopt and manage Zoom's UCaaS and CCaaS platforms.
- Acting as a subject-matter expert on UCaaS/CCaaS technologies, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
- Collaborating with global teams to drive product innovation, enhancements, and customer-focused solutions.
- Designing and deliver next-generation communication solutions, including demos, proofs of concept, and deal-support activities.
- Contributing to sales strategy, marketing initiatives, and product development through market intelligence and customer insights.
What we're looking For
- Build good rapport with customers through business acumen, technical expertise, and executive presence.
- 7+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer or in similar technical pre-sales roles, ideally within UCaaS/CCaaS environments.
- Have Demonstrated experience with SaaS collaboration tools, including web conferencing, cloud voice, and unified communications.
- Have solid understanding of traditional voice communications systems, networking protocols, and security best practices.
- Have knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Have experience of working within the channel landscape and supporting partner-driven engagements.
- Business Level English with a TOEIC score of 700+ will be highly considered.
