Cloud DevOps Engineer

What you can expect

In this role, you can expect to play a key part in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of Zoom's core platform and applications. You'll take part in designing and operating resilient cloud infrastructure. Also streamlining CI/CD pipelines, and embracing cutting-edge technologies like AI, you'll directly contribute to delivering seamless, high-quality experiences for millions of users worldwide. Your work will drive continuous improvement across the entire service lifecycle, from development to production.

About the Team

You will be part of a DevOps team responsible for deploying and operating core services. These are for Gateway Platform/Services, Marketplace/Integration, Whiteboard, Zoom Docs, Zoom Apps applications and products. Zoom Apps bring best of breed applications into the Zoom experience for seamless productivity and an engaging experience .

Responsibilities

• Designing, deploying, monitoring and scaling Zoom Platform services

• Improving the whole lifecycle of Zoom Platform services from planning to go live strategy

• Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to analyze and troubleshoot complex production issues

• Building a resilient and scalable service infrastructure to accommodate region based data centers

• Optimizing current CI/CD process and streamline automation effort for server provisioning and deployment

• Being familiar to K8S deployment and management

• Bringing strong Cloud and Linux/Unix knowledge and hands-on experience

• Supporting test automation and deployment strategy to optimize service performance and ensure product quality

What we're looking for

• Hold a BS/BA/MS (CS/CE/EE/IS or related majors)

• Have 2 years experience on Cloud Based DevOps or SRE

• Demonstrate knowledge of AWS services, Linux batch command, ELK stack and container orchestration (i.e. K8s, Docker)

• Possess hands-on experience on scripting, such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, GO

• Have the ability to monitor, debug and automate routine tasks

• Be willing to learn, be proactive, and think creatively

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:
$87,600.00

Maximum:
$186,000.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
