Finding your dream home is only the first step in the home-buying process! On the Zillow Mortgages team, we are building products to educate and empower people throughout the home financing process. Getting a mortgage is the most time consuming and arduous part of buying a home - we believe we can radically improve the experience for homebuyers. Our vision is to make behind-the-scenes complexity of mortgages look simple and bring efficient experiences to consumers' fingertips while prioritizing a scalable operational infrastructure, and significant business impact. And, we need your help to do it!

About the role

We are looking for a strong Senior iOS Engineer who is used to taking on and driving initiatives and bringing new ideas - someone who holds their code to high standards and who is not afraid to give feedback on the product.

Customer focus and comfortability with cross-functional partnerships is a huge plus. You should be able to lead the teams' technology stack to ensure we're building more robust, scalable, and operable systems. Our ideal candidate is also a technical leader who is passionate about mentorship and growing the potential of others.

We embrace agile software development practices, and believe deeply in building teams composed of all skills needed to deliver value (SDE, PM, SDM, SQE, Design, DE, etc). We also embrace the use of AI tools in our developer workflows.

ZHL Mobile is the team behind native mortgage experiences within the Zillow ecosystem. Our mission is to help home buyers make confident, informed decisions with tools that support them throughout their journey-from understanding affordability with our flagship Buyability feature, to getting prequalified, preapproved for a home loan and the entire Home Loans Tab. We are focused on growing mortgage capabilities directly within the Zillow flagship mobile app, driving toward a mobile-first future where personalized, high-impact mortgage tools are always at users' fingertips. Join us and help shape the next generation of home financing experiences.

You will also:

  • Work on the latest Android|IOS technologies and architectural patterns to develop world-class mobile applications.
  • Contribute to outstanding full-stack mobile application development from concept to launch
  • Implement client-side features and server APIs and services to support planned mobile functionality
  • Collaborate with an agile cross-team of developers, testers, designers & program managers to build features that engage our users and understand their outstanding expectations
  • Consistently deliver performant, testable, scalable, highly-readable code using industry best practices
