About the role
The Senior Loan Delivery Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring loan files meet all investor and internal audit requirements. This position involves auditing loan documents, managing a pipeline with challenging deadlines, shipping files to investors, resolving ULDD errors, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations for investors and servicers. The role also includes insuring government loans, activating mortgage insurance, and supporting the launch of new programs as our product offerings expand.

You Will Get To:
- Conduct detailed checklist audits of loan files to ensure compliance with investor and internal audit standards; escalate issues to leadership as needed.
- Manage audit and delivery pipelines with competing deadlines; coordinate lock extensions with the capital markets team when necessary.
- Ensure all loan-specific tasks are completed in the Loan Origination System (Encompass LOS) before shipping files to investors. Resolve ULDD errors for agency investors and review loan delivery status via Encompass Investor Connect, troubleshooting and escalating issues.
- Enter accurate investor loan numbers and servicing information into File Contacts.
- Insure government loans by entering and reviewing data on FHA Connection and VA LGY Portal; create and upload FHA binders for endorsement review and audits; transfer FHA case numbers when loans are purchased by investors.
- Review Mortgage Insurance (MI) certificates for discrepancies and escalate issues; activate mortgage insurance by coordinating with providers and accounting for upfront premiums.
- Assist Credit Policy by compiling and uploading documentation for QC audits required by MI companies, HUD, or other partners.
- Pilot new programs by collaborating cross-functionally with post-closing teams on onboarding new investors, warehouse banks, and loan delivery program types. Help create documentation for process improvements and test new features.
- Provide feedback to management on improving delivery and audit processes through automation and resolving recurring issues.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned, adapting to evolving priorities, team structures, and company goals.
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. "Remote" employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.
In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $22.20 - $33.40 Hourly. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
Who you are
- Minimum 3 years of mortgage experience, preferably in Post-Closing or QC.
- Recent experience and proficiency with Encompass and other mortgage loan processing software.
- Extensive knowledge of FHA and VA loan programs and guidelines.
- Familiarity with agency (FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA) guidelines and delivery requirements is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Adapts quickly to change and thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments (especially during periods of rapid growth and tech adoption); embraces new automation, tools, and processes.
- Strong preference for experience with Bond, Down Payment Assistance (DPA), and/or Jumbo loan products.
