About the role

As a Senior Financial Analyst on the Strategic Finance team, you will drive finacial insight and efficiency by partnering with leaders across the Agent Software & Advertising (ASA) team. Your work will directly influence business decisions and support Zillow's growth, giving you the opportunity to make a visible impact across the company.

You Will Get To:

  • Partner with business teams and senior leaders to support sustainable and efficient growth.
  • Build and maintain processes to analyze business results, trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Lead monthly expense forecasting and annual operating planning for supported teams.
  • Develop and manage financial templates for tracking actuals, forecasts, budgets, and key operating metrics.
  • Oversee headcount planning and management using Anaplan.
  • Prepare financial analyses to support critical initiatives, investments, and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Identify and lead improvements to automate and scale forecasting, reporting tools, and processes.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal partners to facilitate strategic decision-making and recommend efficiency improvements.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. "Remote" employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $97,800.00 - $156,200.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, ideally in expense management or technology support.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with experience building complex financial models.
  • Proficiency with Tableau or other data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial partners.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and its application to forecasting and financial results.
  • Self-starter who adapts quickly to change and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and a strong sense of curiosity in financial reporting and analysis.
