Zeta Summer Internship Program

Do you want to learn about all the work that goes into launching a new school year and work with passionate, mission-oriented individuals?  As a part of our Zeta Summer Internship Program, you will gain invaluable knowledge of what goes into schooling by supporting our schools and staff in preparation for the 2024-25 school year.

Zeta Summer Interns will have a strong work ethic, be extremely dependable, and be able to manage multiple tasks at once in a strategic, organized way. You will work with and learn from a team of mission-driven, high-achieving, passionate colleagues to help Zeta succeed in its mission to build and sustain high-performing schools that forge thriving communities of lifelong learners, problem solvers, and innovators.

This internship offers the unique opportunity to learn about various aspects of preparing for a new school year, while working with and shadowing colleagues who have worked in various careers including teaching, school administration, operations, law, consulting, finance, etc. 

Responsibilities

  • Work side-by-side with our Operations, Professional Learning, Family Outreach, and/or People Operations teams to organize and prepare Zeta for the 2024-25 school year
  • Support with the set-up and front- and back-of-house logistics of Summer Zeta U, our summer professional development program, for all Zeta staff members 
  • Support with the onboarding process for new hires, both before they get to Zeta and after
  • Support with our student recruitment and enrollment efforts, including inventory management
  • Assist Zeta’s transition to a new inventory system by inventorying items in our school buildings and for Network teams
  • Set up and organize classrooms, restock and organize storage spaces, and support with beautifying the schools in preparation for staff and students

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated passion for the mission, vision, and core values of Zeta Charter Schools
  • Strong work ethic and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving mentality and attention to detail
  • Desire to work tirelessly and collaboratively in order to ensure our schools are 100% ready for staff and students heading into the 2024-25 school year

Logistics

  • This will be a full-time internship that will be in-person at one of our Zeta Schools (Scaffolded 8-hour shifts from 10am-6pm; 8am-4pm; and 7:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday)
  • The internship duration is 6 weeks long, beginning on July 8, 2024 and run through August 16, 2024
    • Please note - we will be giving priority to applicants who can commit to the entire program. However, if you are only available for a portion of these dates, you may still apply for this internship. 
  • We are accepting applications from college students for this position

Compensation

  • This internship comes with a $2,500 stipend for the summer.
