To achieve our vision, we are searching for a Full-time Orchestra Teacher with a Bachelor’s degree, at least 1-2+ years of relevant teaching experience, must have a background in stringed instruments, and mastery of music and conducting. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Execute a vision of excellence in music, working with leaders and teammates to craft inquiry-based and rigorous lessons that inspire passion and joy in all students
  • Build a classroom culture that fosters students’ genuine love for learning and creates a sense of community for our families 
  • Assist with whole-school initiatives and provide instructional support as needed
  • Use-data driven approaches and teaching resources to drive student achievement
  • Develop authentic, meaningful relationships with students and families to support student growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in weekly professional learning opportunities with leaders and colleagues to benefit from feedback that will help you grow as an educator
  • Lead a strong in-school orchestra elective and after-school orchestra and ensemble program that furthers students' passion and skill set in musical performance
  • Conduct an orchestra or ensemble to produce excellent musical performances for the school community 
  • Lead daily small group lessons for all string instruments
  • Collaborate with String Consultants to prepare students for auditions and performances outside of Zeta community
  • Maintain inventory of instruments and perform small instrument repairs as necessary

The start date for this role is July 22, 2024; however, we are also onboarding immediate hires. The salary range for this position is between $62,000 to $94,000. New hires can expect to be brought into the organization at a salary at or near the start of the range, depending on relevant experience teaching in schools. Compensation is based on our salary scales.
