We are seeking a high-performing Account Executive who is responsible for building, managing/progressing, and closing opportunities within a Mid-Market territory. This person must demonstrate all the behaviors associated with a high performance sales culture, specifically prospecting for new business, upsell, and cross-sell within our extensive install base and delivering results against a quota.

We need a sales professional with outstanding prospecting skills that can effectively create, manage, and close deals as well as navigate through complex selling environments. You will be responsible for follow-up on leads that are generated by our Inbound Marketing and as well as coordinate with our outbound Business Development Reps to close both new business and expansion opportunities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Continually build pipeline of new business, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities
  • Exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue goals on a quarterly basis
  • Become an authority on Zendesks products and conduct discovery calls, presentations, and demos with prospects and customers
  • Develop and manage relationships with prospects and accounts in the territory
  • Demonstrate and sell value to key partners within the accounts during fast paced as well as complex sales cycles
  • Track all opportunity and customer details including use case, purchase time frames, next steps, and forecasting in Salesforce/Clari

What you bring to the role

  • 3+ years of software selling experience; SaaS experience preferred!
  • 2+ years outbound prospecting experience a plus
  • Experience selling to Director/VP+ level leaders
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Track record of success selling into mid-market companies
  • Technically savvy; detailed understanding of a related CX technology
  • Proficiency in key Sales tools such as Salesforce.com, Outreach, Clari, and MEDDPICC
  • Skilled in virtual presentations, online web demos, remote sales processes, and drafting business plans
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to accurately forecast monthly/quarterly metrics

In this role, youll work primarily remotely with the support of a dynamic and caring team. Well provide you with the digital tools and experiences to be together-even when were apart. Being digital first doesnt mean were digital only. Youll also have the flexibility to join us at a Zendesk workspace, in one of our Zendesk offices or our flex office spaces. We will bring our people together on occasion to connect, collaborate, learn, or celebrate in person.

The US annualized OTE (On Target Earnings) range for this position is $198,000.00-$298,000.00 with a pay mix of 50/50 (base/commission). This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.
