Backend Software Engineer

Sunshine Conversations powers conversational experiences between people and organizations through an omnichannel messaging experience.

We are looking for a Software Developer II to join the team and help us build our product that serves millions of users globally.

What youll be doing

  • Own the definition and execution of groups of software changes, while taking into consideration performance, reliability, cost, quality and security.
  • Solve complex technical problems.
  • Learn and teach technical skills.
  • Join your team's on call rotation and help them support the high availability of our products.

What you bring to the role

  • Experience in backend software development.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement, deliver and operate customer-facing software in production.
  • Great communication skills in English to collaborate with teams spread across the globe.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with some technologies from our tech stack (see below).
  • Experience working for a SaaS company.

Tech Stack

  • Our backend code is written in TypeScript and runs on Node.js. We use Express as our web framework.
  • Our data is stored on MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB, S3, and is queued or streamed through RabbitMQ, Kafka and SQS.
  • Our workloads run on Kubernetes clusters hosted on AWS. We use various AWS services.

The Poland annualized base salary range for this position is zł154,000.00-zł230,000.00. Please note that while the salary range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rate for this position, the actual compensation offered will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives that will be communicated during the offer stage.

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
