About the Role:

We currently have 60+ Data team members in our Investor business who build, create and maintain our data products, and we are looking to further expand the team to continue to increase our product portfolio. Those with strong analytical skills who are passionate about data and excited to scale quickly to deliver top-tier products to our clients are encouraged to apply.

As a Data Associate, you will:

  • Ramp up quickly to become the primary owner for high-impact data products, driving product success by delivering best-in-class products with a focus on accuracy, client value, and efficiency. 
  • Work with massive amounts of data to help answer our clients’ key questions about the companies we cover and datasets we analyze. You will learn about our proprietary methods and techniques to ensure data accuracy and derive key insights.
  • Tackle complex data problems, using your analytical skills to refine methodologies, test new datasets, and solve data-related problems that require innovative solutions
  • Become a manager, mentoring junior teammates, shaping process improvements, and helping your team build valuable skillsets and drive impact at the company

Become a trusted and reliable resource for our clients. You'll gain insight into how investors use data in their investment decisions by contributing to custom analysis or data reports that are consumed by the top investors in the world.Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams including Research and Engineering to align on best practices to deliver customer value and develop technical solutions that further streamline workflows, optimize data processes, and push the boundaries of automation.

  • Drive strategic decisions to improve our products and data pipelines, identifying and executing on ways we can improve product profitability and deliver outstanding value to clients. This could include developing entirely new methodologies and features or exploring and scaling use across the data team of new third-party datasets.

You Are Likely To Succeed If:

You have at least 3 years of experience in data, business, or predictive analytics and are proficient in SQL, Python, and PySpark

  • You have experience using sample or panel data to make precise estimates that guide decision making
  • You are excited about the idea of becoming a manager, even if you don’t have prior experience managing people
  • You have a proven track record of quickly learning new concepts, particularly complex data methodologies
  • You can clearly communicate complex concepts, both orally and in written
  • You have a strong ownership mentality and are enthusiastic about making a big impact at a rapidly growing company
  • You are able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, independently prioritize tasks and make strategic decisions based on client needs
  • You have a background in financial markets or are interested in learning more about data-driven investing

  • The annual base salary for this position is anticipated to be up to $120,750. The final offer may be determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal team benchmarks. The compensation package also includes equity.
  • This role may be performed fully remotely within the United States. Please note that our US headquarters are located in NYC. If the remote work is performed outside of these offices, income may be subject to New York State tax withholding.
