Senior Manufacturing Engineer

POSITION PURPOSE

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead equipment and process initiatives while managing a team of Manufacturing Engineers. This role is pivotal in driving capital projects, improving equipment reliability, and implementing lean manufacturing practices, all while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and mentor Manufacturing Engineers I & II
  • Manage capital projects from concept to implementation
  • Troubleshoot and improve equipment (PLCs, HMIs, robotics)
  • Drive cost reduction, productivity, and ergonomic improvements
  • Support TPM, Kaizen, and machine ownership programs
  • Collaborate on SOP development and root cause analysis
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years in manufacturing or mechanical engineering
  • 5+ years managing engineering teams

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD/CAD software
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and professionally across teams and with external partners.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Willingness to travel when required
  • Willingness to work some overtime hours or weekends as necessary to complete tasks or to communicate with our parent company Yamaha in Japan
