Finance & Accounting Analyst III

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Finance & Accounting Analyst III to join our Financial Services team in Cypress, CA. The Finance & Accounting Analyst III will serve as a key resource for the organization and provide daily financial oversight to ensure that the integrity of the financial records is complete, accurate and comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). They will support the VP with a wide variety of functions to include operational oversight, transactional processing oversight, preparation of financial statements, audit support and the continued implementation of financial and compliance controls.

What you'll be doing:

  • Seek opportunities to maximize returns on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing GAAP and policies and procedures, and policies and procedures specific to financial services.
  • Will assume sole responsibility for the preparation of the company's quarterly financial statements and accounting report and control over the issuance of the company's financial statements.
  • Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits and reviews and providing information to J-SOX and external auditors.
  • Will act as liaison between operating groups, the auditors and executive management.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or finance required, MBA a plus.
  • CPA, required, Big 4 or large regional CPA firm experience, a plus.
  • 6+ years of accounting, required, controllership experience, a plus.
  • GAAP experience, required, IFRS experience, a plus.
  • Excellent technical/data mining abilities and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Access and Business Objects; Oracle, SAP a plus

Pay:

$71,000 to $135,000

Yamaha intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related experience. Base pay is part of Yamaha's Total Reward program, our Talent Acquisition Team will share more details as candidates progress.
