Dealer Sales Manager- Western US Territory
Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Dealer Sales Manager-Western US Territory. This role is responsible for strategically driving unit sales to Authorized Yamaha Golf Car Dealers within Western Territory. The position will develop and implement an effective sales strategy, including regular dealer visits to build strong, productive relationships with key stakeholders. The goal is to maximize sales performance and profitability for both the company and its dealer partners.
As a Retail Expert, the role will provide valuable guidance on showroom product displays, dealer inventory management, and optimal use of company sales programs and incentives - all aimed at boosting dealer sales and profitability.
What you'll be doing:
• Strategically plan and coordinate regular visits with all assigned dealers to build strong partnerships and drive maximum sales performance across the territory.
• Prepare monthly sales forecasts to support effective inventory management and collaborate with the Regional Manager to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Lead dealer development and prospecting efforts, providing business plans and performance insights for regular review with management.
• Analyze historical data and market trends to set and monitor retail sales goals tailored to each dealer's potential.
• Actively support dealer success through hands-on training, strategic guidance, and in-field coaching of sales associates-ensuring alignment with Yamaha's business objectives and maximizing profitability.
• Partner with YMFUS to manage dealer floorplans, ensuring financial health and minimizing credit line risk across the network.
• Facilitate the sale of used units to dealers when available or requested, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and promptly.
• Represent Yamaha at key industry events, including sales meetings, the PGA Show, GIS, and other relevant trade shows to strengthen brand presence and drive business growth.

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 4-6 years of experience in retail sales, with exposure to managing floorplan lines of credit
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
• Sales Strategy & Territory Management Experience: Proven ability to develop and execute territory sales plans, preferably in a B2B or dealer network environment.
• Analytical & Forecasting Abilities: Experience in analyzing sales data, market trends, and forecasting to support inventory and performance planning.
• CRM & Reporting Tools Proficiency: Experience using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and reporting tools to track performance and manage dealer relationships.
• Industry Experience (Preferred): Experience in powersports, automotive, golf car, or similar industries is a plus.
• Retail Merchandising Knowledge: Familiarity with showroom layout optimization, product placement strategies, and retail sales techniques.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain company-issued credit cards for travel-related expenses
• Must possess and maintain a clean driving record.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory; Travel more than 50%.
