What will you be doing?

The Corporate Accounting Team Lead reports to the Accounting Senior Manager. This position will manage the team's day-to-day operations to ensure that objectives are achieved and deadlines are met. The Team Lead will be responsible for the supervision of certain employees, monthly closing process, interacting with external auditors, and acting as a liaison between accounting & other departments in the Company.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, direct and review the work of the staff
  • Manage and monitor month-end and year-end close for both subledgers and overall general ledger
  • Reviews and analyzes account reconciliations created by Corporate Accounting staff for accuracy and summarizes the risk held up on the balance sheet to management
  • Manage the general ledger chart of accounts and related items
  • Play an active role in facilitating bank audits and the external consolidated audit including managing monthly communication with the Auditors regarding current Company events
  • Trains new employees and cross-trains other departments when necessary on Finance policies and initiative
  • Communicates actively and proactively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Understands and applies accounting guidance to determine appropriate compliance with WWT Financial Policies and GAAP
  • Initiates change proactively and process improvement within your job function, as well as cross-functionally

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field required, but A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 6 years' progressive experience in a related field
  • 4 years of progressive business experience in finance and accounting required, 6 years preferred
  • Previous management/leadership experience a plus
  • Experience with US and non-US multinationals preferred
  • Exposure to information technology industry is a plus

  • Ability to make critical decisions with confidence and positive influence impacting your department, other departments and/or the Company preferred
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software suite required
