What will you be doing?

WWT currently has an opportunity available for a Federal Strategic Program Manager within Professional Services PMO. The role will be responsible for managing large scale and/or complex programs for DoD, government integrator, and other customers.

Federal/Government Experience:

  • Delivery of all contractual requirements as described in government/prime work order
  • Development and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost and schedule control methodologies and tools
  • Managing Government/customer supplied property or information (GFE, CFE, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of DOD Government Contracts, Process and Program life cycle
  • Experienced working with one or more arms of the Military (Navy, Army, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard and National Guard)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the point of representation and liaison with customer, sponsors, and other stakeholders
  • Provide program / project management support to ensure that defined activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives
  • Ensure that the project plan, scope, WBS, schedule, risks, budget, and deliverables are in alignment with the program / project goals and objectives
  • Manage day to day client interaction and expectations for multiple, or large-scale projects and programs
  • Work to minimize exposure and risks
  • Proactively manage changes in scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Manage and analyzes profitability, revenue, margins, bill rate, and utilization across projects and programs
  • Review high level deliverables across projects and programs
  • Ensure successful integration of all program / project segments and services
  • Able to effectively communicate at executive level, including difficult topics without negatively impacting the business relationship.
  • Development and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost and schedule control methodologies and tools
  • Supporting Contracts team in negotiation, recompetes and other contract actions.
  • Acting as a primary customer contact for program activities and leading program review sessions with the customer and/or leadership to address cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Defines clear and relevant governance structure based on stakeholder analysis that includes defined roles and responsibilities
  • Defines and implements governance and controls across the portfolio of programs and/or projects, including but not limited to; status reporting, risks and issues management and reporting, stakeholder engagement and reporting, other routines and artifacts as required to ensure profitable and successful execution as measured by regional goals and customer satisfaction
  • Practices effective problem-solving skills, with the fortitude to drive resolutions to a close
  • Drives decision making processes where and when appropriate
  • Works with leadership and technical leads to staff and resource the portfolio of work appropriately
  • Uses appropriate communication to drive stakeholder engagement and informed decision making for the program
  • Experience in program management in all the following capacities: as Prime, as Subcontractor Experience leading a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP)

QUALIFICATIONS: (Minimum)

  • The ideal candidate will have experience managing / supporting large contract programs within at least one of the following: Army, Navy, Air Force, USMC, DISA
  • 5 years of experience with government acquisition process, ACAT I program, or other applicable large contract experience
  • Minimum ten years of Government Program/ Project Management experience
  • Proven and referenceable track record of leading and driving large teams to success
  • Experience building, and managing a resource loaded IMS
  • Strong management and leadership skills, as well as written and oral communication skills
  • ITIL certification preferred
  • Organizational Change Management (OCM) Experience
  • Program Management and/or PMP certification required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Must be a US citizen

QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred)

  • DAU Program Management III Certification
  • PMI Program Management Professional (PgMP)
  • Master's degree
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Supply Chain process experience
