We are looking for a Sr Sourcing Professional to help support our Global Order Operations team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts complex analytical work to support contracting elements of Procurement Management function
    • Assists in the contract review throughout the procurement lifecycle, and tracks/reports on key metrics to measure contract performance
    • Regularly assesses status of contract renewals and collaborates with internal stakeholders to coordinate renewal strategy
  • Participates in the contract management aspects of the supplier lifecycle
    • Leverage contract management system to efficiently and effectively manage supplier contracts and monitor compliance
    • Acts as contract SME both during negotiation cycle and throughout term of agreement
    • Administers quantified and consistent approach to evaluation of contract risk
    • Utilizes templates in contract management system to enable effective governance and use
  • Communicates effectively within the organization to drive cross-functional collaboration
    • Communicates regularly with internal stakeholders to provide contract support as part of the sourcing, procurement and supplier management lifecycles
    • Evaluates and summarizes areas of risk and/or obligation and effectively tells the story of the contract
    • Evaluates and maintains existing contract templates for currency with company/industry changes
    • Acts as catalyst in driving the maturation of the contracts team throughout the procurement organization
  • Interfaces with Legal in the development and maintenance of Procurement contract templates
    • Identifies new template needs and works with Legal in their development
    • Collaborates with Legal on clause review

Essential Functions:

  • Serves as contract SME for Tier 1 & 2 vendors
  • Collaborates with many internal stakeholders
  • Evaluates contract risk
  • Monitors obligation compliance
  • Administers contract management tool
  • Collaborates across all phases of supplier lifecycle to drive HPT
  • Drives to deliver results with a consistently high level of performance
  • Demonstrates high quality decision making through rigorous consideration and good judgment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, supply chain, or related field (a combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • A minimum of 8 years' progressive experience in a related field
  • Requires at least 8 years of prior experience in contract management, procurement, or related role
  • Proven track record of delivering results through process development and governance oversight.
  • Advanced degree a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Core functional/technical skills required include: Business partnership & consulting; contracting; multi-tasking and prioritization; negotiation and influence; relationship management; system thinking; technical communication/presentation
  • Additional functional/technical skills required include: data analysis; sourcing skills, category knowledge; supplier management skills; WWT knowledge; job specific software
  • Basic understanding of technical subject matter inherent in hardware, software, and services categories
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate through all levels of organization
  • This position is required to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on doing whatever it takes to get the job done and deliver customer delight
  • The nature of the role requires an ability to deliver high quality, through and accurate work on deadlines through successful navigation of shifting customer requirements and competing organizational demands
  • This role will be expected to work in an open-office environment with desk sharing/hoteling practices
  • Travel between our Maryland Heights, MO and Edwardsville, IL locations may be occassionally required
