What will you be doing?

The role of Industry Client Executive (Manufacturing & Distribution) requires a self-motivated, driven sales professional with strong business acumen, a proven track record of success in solution selling, and a solid understanding of Manufacturing business operations and how relevant information technology solutions drive increased profitability and reduced risk. The Industry Practice serves as a key part of the GES Organization - driving net new opportunities in both acquisition and existing Manufacturing & Distribution accounts.

The Manufacturing & Distribution Industry Practice is responsible for developing, evangelizing and selling the vision, strategy and solutions that enable transformation across four key areas for our customers: Line-of-Business, Information Technology, Workforce Experience, and Customer Experience. The Industry Client Executive co-leads overall account strategy, develops new digital transformation stakeholder relationships and leads transformational sales pursuits in close orchestration with the existing GES Account Team.

Industry Client Executives are instrumental in the pursuit, development and closure of transformational sales opportunities within their accounts while promoting the relevance of our Advanced Technology Center (ATC) through technical and business solutions and effectively marketing our capabilities, thereby enhancing the role of WWT within each customer and driving the profitable growth of our company.

Responsibilities:

The primary role of an Industry Client Executive in Manufacturing & Distribution is the pursuit, development and closure of strategic, transformational opportunities within Named Industry Accounts. Within these accounts, responsibilities include:

  • Co-leadership of overall account strategy for the pursuit of both traditional and transformational opportunities
  • Account planning with core account teams, incorporating overall account strategy, identification of transformational pursuits, stakeholder mapping and stakeholder pursuit strategy
  • Pursue and develop relationships with customer digital transformation stakeholders, including executives
  • Develop, pursue and close strategic, transformational sales opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with key OEM partners
  • In collaboration with WWT Industry Advisors, develop and define complete solutions (including products and services) WWT can provide to meet customer needs, and present said solutions with business and financial case to customer
  • Support formal RFP's - functioning as the business lead for solution development, pricing & strategy
  • Meet or exceed annual sales goals
  • Engage with practice leadership to surface industry-specific technology and services needs that align to the Manufacturing & Distribution industries. Once identified, we will subsequently engage the appropriate technology and services practices to further evaluate potential fit within WWT's Advanced Technology Center, technical viability, required investment and timeline to develop
  • Maintaining an understanding of competitive market positioning relative to technology solutions

  • Work closely with our customers, Professional Services, and Project Management teams in the initial launch of transformation projects.
  • Remain current on the latest OEM solutions (including traditional I.T. and Industrial OEM's) through participation in both internal and external training
  • Work closely with CSE (Consulting Systems Engineers) and TA's (Technical Architect's) to enable mutual understanding of solutions and their fit and impact to the customer's business
  • Provide strategic industry and thought leadership for various internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must live in the Upper MidWest, United States - preferably Indianapolis.
  • 7+ years Account Management experience in a relevant industry with large commercial or enterprise customers.
  • 5+ years of experience managing/leading a sales book of business ($50M+ in Revenue).
  • Highly regarded within core customer business units and technical organizations.
  • Ability to work independently and solve customer-facing problems.
  • Track record of successful solution selling.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
