The Role

WWT Consulting Solutions Engineer (CSE) brings together customer requirements and technology experience/knowledge to lead client engagements in both identifying and developing the best of breed solutions to address business problems across several clients.

Using the broad technology partnership portfolio WWT has the CSE will be a thought and technology leader with their clients and drive innovative ways to help clients realize value and address today's business challenges.

You will be part of a global ecosystem of CSE's of which you which all you stand apart from others with the technology pre-sales industry.

Your opportunity

WWT supports F1000 clients across the globe working in a number of industry verticals. Our multiple discipline teams bring depth and breadth together to work with the Consulting Solutions Engineer to help create and define a technology solution to meet with client needs.

The Consulting Solutions Engineer will support enterprise clients in the UK, Europe and global markets using their experience and WWT expertise to enable clients to maximize their technology investments.

Qualified candidates need to have experience in architecting and understanding leading technologies across several vendors, be fluent in engaging with customers on a regular basis and will be seen as a thought leader representing WWT.

You will lead the WWT Technology portfolio with your client and position WWT Value proposition and key market.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Continually expand personal knowledge of the validated Cloud reference architectures
  • Translating key business requirements into Cloud solutions
  • Design and propose next generation Cloud solutions that meet the needs and functional requirements of the customer.
  • Integrating Cloud solutions into the network design, and implementation.
  • Present complex technical concepts in a manner that can be easily understood by non-technical or semi-technical audiences.
  • Act as a consultant to the customers, striving to gain a trusted advisor status through honest but humble interactions.
  • Perform technology demonstrations utilizing the WWT Advanced Technology Center, Partner and Vendor Labs or customer provided equipment.
  • Contribute to the WWT technology body of knowledge through the creation of written documentation, white papers, internal blogs, WWT communities or knowledge base articles.
  • Join and be an active participant in one or more WWT Virtual Teams representing a technology of relevance to you and the region.
  • Develops and fosters relationships with strategic original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and key partners who are local to your region.
  • Support the account team through identification, development, and ongoing support of new opportunities.
  • Join account teams in key customer meetings to represent WWT's solutions and capabilities.
  • Take a leadership position in proposal responses within your domain of expertise.
  • Works with clients and WWT Sales team to obtain technical priorities, challenges, and initiatives that can be translated into WWT opportunities.
  • Ensure effective coordination and support between account teams and supporting post sale technical resources.
  • Serve as the technical liaison to customers and internally to WWT
  • Building strong relationships in the EMEA region with WWT's key OEM partners
  • Achieving and maintaining required technology certifications and competencies 

  • Providing Effective Engineering Support of Customer Initiatives 

  • Have a clear understanding of the WWT Value Proposition

Qualifications & Working Practices.

  • Full understanding of the end-to-end sales process and skilled at moving qualified services opportunities from resolute qualification through to closure
  • Experienced with taking on the Lead Engineering role on engagements working in collaboration with Sales Teams.
  • EMEA Travel required on occasion.
  • Onsite attendance at Customer location up to 3 days per week in Isleworth, UK
  • Your ability to learn quickly.
  • Experience with the RFP / RFI / ITT process and participation in such processes.
  • Cloud technology
  • Ideal candidates will have extensive experience with multiple Cloud solutions and the ability to design and implement solutions.
  • 5+ years of technical enterprise pre-sales experience with a focus on solution sales.
  • Ability to create and present sales and technical training material for field enablement.
  • Ability to identify potential opportunities and be accountable for creating strategies to pursue.
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g. Business Management, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Management, Program Management, etc.) or equivalent industry experience preferred.
