What is the Team and why join?

The Global Accounts team at WWT plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth, fostering client satisfaction, and strengthening partnerships with large multinational organisations across Europe. We are investing in our European business and this Commercial Manager role will be key to us achieving our next phase of growth. You will work closely with the European leader of our Global Accounts business and some of the best sales people in the industry. You might be a qualified accountant, but that is not a pre-requisite for the role. You do need to be commercially minded, have strong analytical skills and be comfortable working in a genuinely fast-paced environment. Ideally, you will have worked closely with the sales function in the technology sector in a VAR, systems integrator or hardware/software vendor. You'll enjoy working on the construction of complex sales propositions involving hardware, software and services. We're looking for somebody who can use numbers to tell a story to our sales people and help them think differently about their business. As this is a new role in our European organisation, you will have the opportunity to shape the role yourself as the company grows. It's a really exciting opportunity.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage numbers and reporting for the European Global Accounts sales team; historical, current, and pipeline, breaking down numbers for different regions, including booked, shipped, backlog
  • Manage Salesforce.com reports, dashboards and provide insights to sales leadership
  • Use numbers to provide insights to our sales teams about the shape and health of their business
  • Play a central role in shaping complex deals. Understanding risks/rewards in coordination with cross functional teams/stakeholders across WWT. Pulling in various financial teams, as necessary, to advise on tax, cash flow, FX, and invoicing complexities. Advise on profitability of deals for WWT
  • Engage in strategy & planning activities. You will need to analyse external market data and research to help WWT make data-driven decisions about where to invest across Europe
  • Work with WWT Finance teams to resolve problems that affects our P&L, resolving invoice escalations, inventory buildup, accounts payable issues
  • Understanding how WWT operates across multiple global functions and quickly build a trusted network across the company
  • Managing P&L to make sure expenses are being allocated to correctly within region.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred but not essential; CPA or CMA certification preferred but not essential
  • Proven experience in finance, accounting, data analysis or strategy & planning role
  • Experience working in the technology sector preferred
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial management software
  • Proficient in Salesforce.com reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to work alongside sales people every day
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
