WME seeks a talented and highly motivated lawyer to join its legal and business affairs team as lead advisor to the agency's Brand Partnerships division.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with agents to elevate the dealmaking process by providing actionable advice and guidance on innovative deal structures, negotiation strategies and agent training
  • Negotiating and managing a high volume of short-form and long-form contracts under tight deadlines, including endorsement, appearance, license and other image-rights and personal-services agreements, primarily for talent clients
  • Collaborating with agents and other executives to establish best practices for dealmaking around emerging technologies, such as generative AI, extended reality and immersive internet
  • Advising internally on business and legal issues, including questions of contract interpretation, guild rules and compliance matters
  • Engaging with internal and external counsel on pre-litigation dispute resolution and litigation matters
  • Coordinating with other executives across the global legal and business affairs team to set policy and improve process
  • Fostering positive long-term relationships with the agency's clients and customers
  • Managing and developing at least one other executive

Qualifications

  • Admitted attorney (NY or CA) with 10+ years of transactional legal/business affairs experience, ideally with at least 2 at a firm, and at least 2 focusing on endorsement contracts either in-house or at an entertainment law firm
  • Familiarity with SAG-AFTRA commercials contract and FTC endorsement guidelines
  • Outstanding drafting, negotiation, analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with a range of personalities and styles in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Sound judgment, a curious mind, a strong work ethic, and a creative approach to problem solving
  • Proven leadership ability, and a desire to drive progress
  • Grit, tenacity and flexibility

Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the range shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. Endeavor strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.

Hiring Range Minimum:
$150,000 annually

Hiring Range Maximum:
$200,000 annually
