What You'll Do:
- Draft contracts between speakers, the agency and hosting organizations in a time sensitive, professional and straightforward manner
- Advise junior attorneys, sales teams and talent managers/speakers on legal and contracting issues (including questions of contract interpretation and enforcement) and find efficient solutions
- Identify potential liabilities related to business practices and policies
- Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal and departmental processes
- Expertly communicate with internal stakeholders, including sales agents and talent managers
You Have These:
- Admitted to the NY Bar
- 3 to 5 years of transactional legal/business affairs experience, at a firm or in-house, media/entertainment experience a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Keen ability to quickly synthesize facts and assess risk as a core job duty
- Outstanding drafting, negotiation, analytical, prioritization, and organizational skills and advanced skills in identifying legal issues
- Interest in training junior attorneys in fundamental aspects of the practice of law
- A curious mind, a strong work ethic, and a creative but practical approach to problem-solving
- An upbeat, positive, communicative team-player with a no-nonsense approach to work

Mon-Fri, 9am - 5pm

Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the range shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. The company strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.
Hiring Range Minimum:
$97,500 annually
Hiring Range Maximum:
$130,000 annually
