The Multiemployer Benefit Plan and Labor Union industry group is seeking a Project Coordinator based out of our Washington D.C office or remote on the east coast or central regions. This role will be an integral position in the Multiemployer Benefit Plan and Labor Union practice area and the person will work closely with our clients and teams to ensure accurate and timely communications, coordination of meetings and schedules, maintaining a project file for the service teams, and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and within the required timeframe.

How You’ll Spend Your Time: 

  • Managing the process for engaging with clients on specific projects including audit, tax, and advisory engagements
  • Applying independent judgement and decision-making skills to address client needs within project scope and budgetary guidelines
  • Acting as a liaison between the firm and clients by gathering documents related to the projects/clients assigned and coordinating with the engagement teams
  • Establishing and implementing strategic tracking and reporting systems to ensure project completion according to specifications, budgets, and timelines
  • Responsible for utilizing tracking materials through our project management teams to actively engage team members and clients to move the projects forward to completion
  • Leading communication efforts with internal and external stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Establishing appropriate times frames and coordinating meetings and schedules
  • Developing, implementing, and managing project scope plans according to deadlines and budgetary requirements
  • Forecasting and mitigating potential delays in project completion timeline
  • Utilizing the ME groups project management system to manage projects efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Participating on the firm wide project management team to develop best practices and making recommendations for efficiency
  • Assisting with other duties as needed

The Kinds of People We Want to Talk to: 

  • Required Education Level: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Required Years of Experience: 4+ years’ experience preferred
  • Strong personal and communication skills both written and verbal; ability to develop relationships with clients and be a go to contact; able to adapt to a variety of styles and personalities
  • Great organizational skill
  • Ability to work with several technology platforms including Microsoft Office suite and learn our project management platform
  • Responsive and ability to manage multiple projects and communications simultaneously
  • Excellent attention to detail; ability to multitask and adapt to shifting needs and priorities
  • Reliable, productive, and self-motivated; able to work well under pressure
  • Able to learn and adapt to new and complex procedures quickly
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Project management experience preferred (may include administrative projects)

In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications. Washington, D.C. ranges are from $60,000 - $70,000 annually
