Job Description:
Title: Test Engineer
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Type: Contract - long term
What you'll be doing:
- Working swing and weekend shifts to support extended factory operations hours
- Support engineers working on GPU and Artificial Intelligence System Products in Lab and manufacturing facilities.
- System-Level Testing, Perform system-level bring-up/ debugging, validation, and data collection.
- You'll handle shipping and receiving, unpacking and packing of systems
- Build, help debug, and repair CPU and GPU platforms
- Install, configure test stations, devices under test, monitor and support users
- Setup test programs, run test suites, collect and analyze results
- Write scripts in C, Python, or Shell to assist HW bring-up, including modifying & checking register status
- Work closely with Engineers, Managers, external suppliers and contract manufacturing staff.
What we need to see:
- 4 years of technical education
- 5 years related experience as a hardware technician in Lab or Manufacturing environment.
- Bachelors/Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent field
- Knowledge of basic electronics, digital and analog theory is required
- Hands-on production, manufacturing, or RMA experience is a huge plus
- Experience with failure analysis and troubleshooting skills of simple circuitry to component level is required
- Experience with prototype tracking systems
- Ability to configure/setup computers and test equipment
- Experience with failure analysis and troubleshooting skills of simple circuitry to component level is required
- Able to perform soldering rework, including fine pitch SMT components
- Experienced with power and hand tools, including drills and wire crimping tools for pins, connectors, lugs, etc
- Familiar with Document Control and CAD tools for viewing schematics, BOMs, ECOs etc
- Able to work with Linux, Windows and GSuite or Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat or similar backoffice tools
- Familiarity with Linux command line and knowledge of Shell scripting.
- Ability to develop, review and modify Python and Shell scripts to enhance test coverage.
- Self-motivated individual who is capable of handling multiple tasks at a time.
- Service spirit with strong communication skills
Mandatory Skills: VLSI Board Design .
Experience: 3-5 Years .
Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $45,000 to $110,000 . Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
