The Role

Wipro Consulting is seeking a NA Telecommunications Digital Consulting Partner who will lead the growth of the consulting business in a strategic global account(s) by leveraging existing & emerging Wipro consulting capabilities. In addition, this leader will create new strategic growth areas to deliver significant profitable growth for the account(s) and consulting in the NA Telecommunications market.

What You Will Do

  • Drive Growth: Work with the leadership team to define a sound business growth strategy for a designated strategic account(s) . Focus on opening new business opportunities, generating billable assignments, managing revenue (self and team) and in expanding Wipro's positioning
  • Develop/Maintain Relationships: As a Consulting Partner in the Telecom industry, you bring current and senior Telco industry connections to develop the consulting and advisory business
  • Articulate Solutions: Identifying & defining differentiated services and solutions for various Telco functional and technical challenges within the designated strategic client(s)
  • Ensure Customer Centricity: Delivering customer value as a central theme across all activities. Ensuring Wipro is delivering as a trusted partner and aligned to client/customer value and strategic goals
  • Increase Branding: Leverage the above to drive strong Wipro Market Positioning and in increasing Wipro's mindshare at strategic clients

  • Strategic thinking - Big picture orientation, conceiving effective strategies to drive growth
  • Consulting skills - Ability to probe customers, engage in conversations to uncover the underlying challenges and shape these into structured problem statements and consulting proposals
  • Technology expertise across a Telco oriented tech landscape (e.g., Salesforce Communications Cloud, Vlocity, MS Dynamics, ServiceNow, CSG, Amdocs, Blue Planet etc.)

  • Telecom industry knowledge - Have deep Telco industry knowledge, familiar with the industry terms and able to communicate with other Wipro SMEs and clients about industry practices
  • Champion for Transformation - Be a champion and passionate advocate for Transformation, 5G, AI in order to reposition Wipro as a strategic partner to accelerate and sustain customer value
  • Leadership & Interpersonal skills - Ability to drive & lead strategic execution, manage change, build relationships with clients & technology partners while motivating teams & achieving results
  • Thought Leadership - Ability to converse with industry leaders, analysts and formulate POVs on trends and proactively propose solutions, investment decisions along with published artifacts, industry speakerships, analyst interactions etc.
  • Delivery Capabilities - Delivery and program expertise with experience in handling onsite and multi shore consulting projects with distributed teams
Your Responsibilities
  • Accomplished Business Leader with P&L responsibility, spearheading account growth and customer engagements
  • Deep expertise in managing CxO level relationships and driving the design, solutioning and delivery of state-of-the-art Digital and Consulting solutions
  • Deep Telco industry expertise from prior experiences with Tier 1 NA Telecommunication clients
  • Track record managing large Telco Industry accounts and driving profitable growth
  • Defining account specific business growth strategies built on domain consulting strengths. Focus on growing the consulting competency with higher billing rates and margins. Help in creating new business opportunities & new business wins (revenue and order value)
  • Ability to drive large transformation programs around Cloud, AI, Digital & Consulting (BSS, OSS, Network, Quality Assurance)
  • Build and nurture partnerships with key client business stakeholders. Drive pro-active pitches leveraging right fit domain and digital offerings to guide client's transformation initiatives
  • Develop thought leadership on client's business and set long-term aspiration and annual goals
  • Seek to understand Client's business objectives to ensure Wipro solutions/offerings are positioned appropriately and proactively
  • Collaborate with delivery, solution teams, Service lines and other support functions to ensure client expectations are managed, and delivered through a one Wipro approach
  • Deliver and demand the highest levels of client service by partnering with leaders from other Wipro service line teams to align objectives, improve relationships and processes
  • Identify incremental revenue opportunities and scale accordingly
  • Responsible for hiring/nurturing top talent in consulting for your account(s)
  • Monitor and provide timely and accurate forecasts of sales opportunities and pipelines
  • Improve Wipro's positioning as a thought-leader among clients and market eco-system (analysts, advisors, industry events)
Skills and Qualifications required
  • Master's Qualification (MBA Desired)
  • Extensive industry experience (as a leader in Management consulting or in the Telecom Industry) with business development experience focused on strategic engagements and growth
  • Proven track record of transformational and strategic consulting sales/managed revenue, and strong focus on governance, delivery, and operational management
  • Clear understanding of the various services for B2C & B2B segments from an End-to-end perspective across legacy & new age Telco technologies
  • Experience in consultative and outcome-based sales delivering differentiated value and opportunities for new business models
