Technical Lead - L1

Key Responsibilities:

i. Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, highly available, and secure systems on AWS with close partners in the engineering team

ii. Automate the configuration, deployment and maintenance of systems through development of our infrastructure as code

iii. Own, maintain, and evolve our serverless CI/CD pipeline with close partners in the engineering team to enable developers to ship high quality and secure products with velocity and autonomy

iv. Deploy and maintain security and monitoring systems

v. Provide mentorship to junior engineers

vi. Identify and select the right tools and systems for the job

vii. Be an owner and a champion of platform and application performance, integrity, and security

Skills:

i. 5 years of professional Linux system engineering experience

ii. 3 years of professional experience in designing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting critical cloud-based distributed infrastructure (AWS)

iii. Strong experience in shell scripting/programming language

iv. Experience in development of configuration management and infrastructure-as-code (eg Terraform, CloudFormation)

v. Experience in deploying and managing distributed systems with containers (eg Docker) & orchestration (eg Kubernetes, EKS)

vi. Experience in designing, deploying and managing cloud-based networking (eg DNS, route tables, VPC, VPN, etc)

vii. Experience in designing, developing and managing web and mobile CI/CD pipeline (Java/TypeScript stack)

viii. Familiarity with relational and NoSQL database management

ix. Experience in deploying, managing, and securing infrastructure that process highly sensitive customer data is a plus

x. Experience in financial services, payments, processing is a plus

xi. Strong communication skills

xii. BS in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 . Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
