Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.

  • CI/CD Pipelines: Build and optimize continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Set up and manage monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK, etc.) to ensure system health and performance.
  • Incident Management: Lead root cause analysis and postmortems for production incidents; implement preventive measures.
  • Automation: Develop scripts and tools to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure infrastructure adheres to security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, SOC2).
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to ensure smooth deployments and reliable services.
  • Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize AWS resource usage to control cloud spend.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or related roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration and shell scripting.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and branching strategies.
  • Programming/scripting skills in Python, Go, Bash, or similar.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, backup strategies, and high availability architectures.

Nice-to-Have
  • Certifications like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Solutions Architect.
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
  • Exposure to chaos engineering and resilience testing.
  • Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
