SDET Lead

Job Description

  • Collaborate with developers and product owners during sprint planning to understand upcoming features and user journeys.
  • Identify E2E test scenarios early, even before full implementation is complete.
  • Define test data requirements, dependencies, and environment needs
  • Build modular, reusable, and scalable automation scripts for E2E flows.
  • Use mock services or stubs to simulate unavailable components.
  • Automate API and UI layers in parallel to development using tools.
  • Integrate E2E tests into the CI/CD pipeline to run on every build or feature branch.
  • Ensure fast feedback to developers by prioritizing critical path tests.
  • Use test tagging (e.g., smoke, regression, feature-specific) for efficient execution.
  • Work closely with developers to understand technical constraints and integration points.
  • Provide early feedback on defects, integration issues, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Participate in code reviews and pair programming for testability improvements.
  • Create and manage test data scripts for consistent and repeatable test runs.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to ensure stable test environments.
  • Use containerized environments (e.g., Docker) for isolated test execution.

Experience: 5-8 Years .

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 . Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
