Job Description:

Release Manager

Role Purpose
- Own the release calendar, ensuring all changes are planned, documented, and communicated in advance. - Lead release readiness reviews, validating requirements, dependencies, environment readiness, and risk mitigation before deployment. - Coordinate across multiple teams - including infrastructure and dependent service owners - to ensure all components are ready for release. - Identify open issues early, drive them to resolution, and escalate blockers promptly. - Act as the single point of truth for release scope, status, and risk. - Facilitate clear, timely communication to stakeholders during all release phases (planning, execution, post-release). - Track post-release issues, ensure ownership is assigned, and follow through to resolution. - Maintain a log of release learnings and drive process improvements to reduce late surprises and production defects. - Support incremental, smaller releases where possible to reduce scope risk.
