Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced PAAS Database Administrator (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, MYSQL etc) to join our dynamic team. As a PAAS Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our PAAS databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, MYSQL etc. Your role will involve ensuring the availability, performance, and security of these databases to support our organization's applications and services. You will collaborate closely with the development and operations teams to address database-related requirements and provide technical expertise.

Roles & Responsibility.
Design, deploy, and configure PAAS databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, MYSQL etc according to the organization's requirements.
Subscribe for marketplace offerings like Redis Enterprise, MongoDB, upgrades, and patching(wherever applicable) to ensure the databases are up-to-date and secure.
Monitor the performance and health of PAAS databases, including identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and implementing optimization strategies.
Implement backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures or disasters.
Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexes for efficient and scalable application performance.
Manage database security by implementing access controls, user management, and encryption mechanisms.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and incidents, working closely with cross-functional teams.
Perform capacity planning and scalability assessments to support the growth of the organization's applications and services.
Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in PAAS databases and contribute to the continuous improvement of database management processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A relevant combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Proven experience as a Database Administrator, specifically with PAAS databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, MYSQL etc.
Strong knowledge of database concepts, administration, and performance tuning.
Experience in database design, implementation, and optimization for performance and scalability.
Proficiency in database backup and recovery strategies.
Solid understanding of database security principles and best practices.
Familiarity with database replication, clustering, and high availability concepts.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant certifications, such as MongoDB Certified DBA, PostgreSQL Certification, or Redis Certification, are a plus
Mandatory Skills: PostgreSQL Database Admin.
Experience: 3-5 Years.
