Job Description

Role Purpose

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Oracle Fusion PPM Functional Consultant to lead the end-to-end financial project planning and delivery within our Oracle Fusion ERP environment. In this critical role, you'll oversee project financials related to payables, receivables, and project integration efforts-including coordination with external platforms like Microsoft Project. You will act as a functional bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business requirements are clearly understood, translated into system configurations, and implemented effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Configuration & Functional Design

  • Implement and configure Oracle Fusion Projects (PPM), ensuring deep understanding of PPM capabilities, downstream processes, and integration points with Fusion Financials.
  • Map business requirements to Fusion configurations, deliver configuration documentation, and define functional specifications for extensions, integrations, and reports.
  • Conduct Conference Room Pilots (CRP) to validate solution design and gather structured feedback.

Integration & Data Conversion
  • Work with APIs, FBDI (File-Based Data Import), BIP and OTBI reporting tools to support integrations, data uploads, and conversions.
  • Determine and apply proper integration techniques-choosing between real-time APIs or bulk FBDI processes.
  • Facilitate the data conversion from legacy systems (e.g., internal legacy tools) into Fusion PPM and associated financial modules.

Reporting & Workflow Configuration
  • Develop reports using Oracle's built-in reporting tools.
  • Utilize Fusion BPM workflows to automate business processes and enhance solution functionality.
  • Maintain strong configuration governance and traceability throughout design, testing, and deployment.

Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery
  • Collaborate closely with business partners to understand planning needs and communicate the project scope and timelines.
  • Translate business plans into structured project delivery stages, guiding execution through configuration, integration, validation, and go‑live.
  • Support end-to-end delivery by tracking progress, managing CRPs, guiding UAT, and ensuring smooth deployment.

Required Qualifications

  • 8-10 professional years working with Oracle ERP systems
  • 3-5 years of hands-on expertise in Oracle Fusion PPM (Projects Portfolio Management).
  • Deep understanding of Fusion PPM capabilities, integration methods (APIs vs FBDI), financial module connectivity, and reporting tools (BIP & OTBI).
  • Proven experience mapping business needs into Fusion configurations, writing functional specifications, and executing CRP sessions.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and validating data conversion strategies from legacy environments into Fusion ERP modules.
  • Strong communication skills, adept at partnering with business stakeholders to translate plans into actionable project deliverables.
  • Proven ability to track delivery end-to-end and ensure functional solutions align with business objectives.
