Key responsibilities
  • Work as Subject Matter Expert for Messaging tower includes Exchange, Exchange Online & MS Teams.
  • Acquire knowledge and detailed understanding on customer's Exchange, Exchange Online & MS Teams.
  • Validate Scope of Work and Due Diligence of Data and identify gaps .
  • Responsible for interacting with internal teams, vendors and customers to coordinate the timely completion of transition deliverables for messaging tower.
  • Work effectively on diverse type of customers from different time zones
  • Responsible for Involving in transition phases and prepare all necessary transition deliverables documents.
  • Gather required and detailed information and develop SMTDs & SOPs with complete understanding of customer Messaging environment.
  • Responsible to provide reverse knowledge transfer to BAU teams and getting sign-off from customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Anticipate risks and challenges well in advance and effectively articulate risks & challenges and get sign-off on SMTD, Risk Register and other technical / operational documents. Propose risk mitigation plan and options. Work with the internal and external eco system to mitigate risks in good time.
  • Participate in project planning and prepare MPP.
  • Responsible for implementing best practice, patching, hardening and automation of BAU tasks.
  • Knowledge and ability to identify the risks on the customer Exchange, Exchange Online& MS Teams environment & make recommendations of solutions according to the industry best practices relevant for customer landscape.
  • Self-driven and motivated individual who can lead from the front and take end to end ownership of the Virtualization Process and Technologies for seamless transition and smooth Go Live of services from the perspective of People, Process and Technology.

Technical Skills Required

Should have minimum 5+ years (5 years for L2) hands on experience in terms of delivery, design, architecting and management of Messaging platform including Exchange, Exchange Online, MS Teams & Skype.
  • Primary skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange architecture and all subcomponents.
  • Strong Knowledge of O365 & Hybrid environment troubleshooting, tenant and subscription management.
  • Strong troubleshooting knowledge of Mail flow, Queues, performance related issues of Exchange Servers, Hybrid & O365 environment.
  • Working Knowledge in AD, AAD connect, ADFS and Azure AD management & troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge in Hybrid configuration wizard, Migration process of on-prem to O365.
  • Strong knowledge in configuring and troubleshooting Virtual directories connectors, Edge subscriptions & Certificate, MX/DNS records management.
  • Strong Knowledge in DAG, Mailbox Database, Public folder management, backup & Recovery.
  • Strong knowledge in managing Archive, journal, Retention policies & Settings.
  • Good knowledge in SPAM filtering and relay server management.
  • Good knowledge in Active Directory and DNS management.
  • Good experience in reviewing & preparing technical documents, SOPs and Run books.
  • Good understanding on Disaster Recovery (DR) Concepts & Solutions.
  • Good understanding on migration strategy to migrating the workloads across datacenters
  • Should have ability to pro-actively identify technical risks and areas of improvements.
  • Experience in handling technical meetings with customer stake holders
  • Should know basic scripting on PowerShell
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Secondary Skills at least L2 or L2+ : Teams
  • Good Knowledge in managing and troubleshooting Teams.
  • Good understanding on SIP protocol and troubleshooting using SIP headers.
  • Good Knowledge in managing Active Sync and any 3rd party MDM solutions.
  • Knowledge on managing through PowerShell commands/Scripts
