• Administer mission-critical custom and packaged MSSQL database applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Design and implement robust storage strategies, including backup and recovery solutions for complex database environments using tools like Enterprise Rapid Recovery.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise policies and proactively recommend improvements to database governance and operational standards.
• Collaborate with project teams and business stakeholders to provide database solutions for both new initiatives and ongoing operational needs.
• Serve as a key liaison between application teams and database administration, facilitating clear communication and effective issue resolution.
• Demonstrate proficiency across core database management areas including architecture design, performance tuning, web connectivity, and database analysis.
• Promote standardization and consistency across environments, ensuring scalable and maintainable database solutions.
• Maintain a secure and stable database infrastructure, with a focus on proactive monitoring and risk mitigation.
• Gather and analyze user requirements to provide tailored database management consulting and support.
• Monitor and optimize database functionality to ensure reliability and responsiveness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database server hardware and software, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Support cloud transformation initiatives by participating in database migration to Azure, managing databases in cloud environments, and applying knowledge of Azure services and architecture to ensure seamless integration and performance.
• Proactively contribute to cloud strategy by identifying gaps, proposing solutions, and sharing practical insights with the team based on real-time experience.
