Role: Lead Network Engineer

Location : Bangalore

Job Summary: Lead Network Engineer with extensive expertise in Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco DNA Center, SD Access, Identity Services Engine (ISE), SilverPeak SDWAN, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Global Protect VPN. This role requires a highly skilled professional with deep technical expertise in network design, implementation, troubleshooting, and security within enterprise environments. Oversee network operations, drive infrastructure automation, ensure high availability, and mentor junior engineers. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Cisco networking, automation, security frameworks, cloud integration and data management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Operations & Troubleshooting:

• Monitor, manage, and resolve global network infrastructure incidents efficiently. Provide root cause analysis for production outages and implement corrective measures.

• Oversee network provisioning and de-provisioning for seamless scalability.

• Support Infoblox IPAM provisioning and DNS-related activities.

Infrastructure Administration & Security:

• Administer and optimize Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ACI, and DNA Center infrastructure.

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Firewalls, VPN Connections and Proxy related issues

• Oversee SilverPeak SDWAN deployment, performance, troubleshoot and enhancements.

• Implement and enforce network security best practices, including 802.1x NAC deployment

• Perform firewall and network OS patching, monitoring, and alerting.

• Proven Expertise in Managing and troubleshooting Wireless Cisco environments with a deep understanding of the RF Spectrum.

Automation & Monitoring:

• Manage SolarWinds, Orion, and Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly known as DNA Center) for network performance monitoring.

• Good understanding of NETCONF, YANG and API calls to integrate multi-vendor environments for data collection and management. • Develop network automation using Python, Ansible, or similar technologies

• Integrate Logic Monitor, SNMP-based monitoring, and Single Sign-On (Okta) into network operations.

Leadership & Collaboration:

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a global multi-cultural environment.

• Work with global teams to drive network innovation and strategy.

• Document and share new operational solutions, best practices, and troubleshooting guides.

• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance

• Adhere to IT access management and change control procedures.

• Stay updated with industry trends, security threats, and risk management techniques

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• 8 years of experience in network engineering, IT security, and infrastructure support.

Cisco or equivalent certifications (CCNP, CCIE preferred).

• Expertise in Cisco technologies, including Catalyst, Nexus, DNA Center, ACI, NGFWs.

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, IPS, SDWAN, DMVPN, OSPF, BGP, VLANX, NAC (802.1x deployment).

• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Global Protect VPN, and SilverPeak SDWAN.

• Solid troubleshoot skills to corelate events and data from multiple sources to effectively resolve complex network issues.

Data Management skills to get raw log data into visual dashboard using tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

• Experience in Python scripting, Ansible automation, or similar tools is a plus.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience

Mandatory Skills: CISCO Digital Network Architecture .

Experience: 5-8 Years .
