Lead Analyst

Responsibilities:

The analyst will be an integral part of the team wherein he will support the larger team in New York.

Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities will include:

• Geneva system knowledge for cash break resolution. Understanding of cash and position reconciliation.
• Sound knowledge on Term Loans, Bonds, Revolving Loans and DDTL.
• Working with other members of the Investment Team to source, diligence, and underwrite investment opportunities, leveraging Blackstone's various groups where appropriate.
• Thinking creatively about ways to improve the team's existing process, and helping to ensure quality, consistency, and thoroughness in the team's approach.

Qualifications: Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, a successful candidate will have:
• A desire to work in a team environment, often under strict time constraints.
• Experience in cash and position reconciliation. Knowledge of resolving cash/position break discrepancies, Client reporting
• Excellent technical proficiency in Excel/VBA.
• Strong communication skills.
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience on cash/position reconciliation, hedge fund working in structured credit.

Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools. • Very Good written & spoken communication skills; Good Analytical Skills & problem-solving skills • Pro-active & Positive Attitude • Ability to Work efficiently and effectively in a team; Excellent Customer facing Skills and Ability to build Rapport with Clients • Can escalate issues on time to ensure quick resolution • Good phone & email etiquettes.

DOMAIN SKILLS
• Very good understanding of Financial Products and having hands-on experience on a mix of Structured Credit Experience and quantitative experience.
• General understanding of Private Equity / Real Estate / Hedge Funds / Reconciliation
• Hands on experience of Private Equity / Real Estate / Hedge Funds systems/ Reconciliation
