Overview: Storage Project Lead

The SAN Storage & Backup Project Lead position is responsible for design, implementation, configuration, and support of Network Appliance (NetApp) storage platforms for a large enterprise storage environment with HVL & Dell Block storage and Cohesity Backup Products:

• Must have experience handling large storage-based installation & migration projects independently
• Well versed with PMP and Agile project methodologies
• Solid communication skills with the proven experience of working in large project teams
• Working with project teams to engineer storage solutions for a large variety of applications and databases.
• Oversees all aspects of the SAN architecture, providing insight on the design, backup strategies, and networking
• Manages project and workloads of SAN team, overseeing system analysis activities, troubleshooting, and incident management.
• Plans workloads, projects, and other administrative tasks associated with the management of the SAN.
• Implementation, configuration, and monitoring, of storage hardware and software used by Windows, Unix, Linux, operating systems as well as VMware environments in multiple Data Canters and remote locations.
• Interaction with various project groups in defining storage solutions.
• Implement, configure, and install Netapp hardware and software.
• Perform code upgrades for NetApp FAS/AFF Operating Systems (Data OnTap for both CMode and 7Mode).
• Setup and configure RAID groups, aggregates, volumes, quotas, and qtrees.
• Manage file access protocols including NFS, iSCSI, and Fiber Channel.
• Manage the following Netapp product suites: SnapRestore, SnapMirror, SnapCreate, SyncMirror, SnapVault, FlexClone, MultiStore, Snaplock, Snap Manager Suite, Snap Center, WFA, and Unified Manager.
• Support and ensure successful Netapp backups - Snap, Snap-Vault, and SnapMirror
• In-depth knowledge of NetApp monitoring and performance tuning utilities including native tools, Operations Manager, OnCommand Unified Manager, and OnCommand Insight.
• Cloud experience - Secure Insight and CVO
• Dell PMAX & HVL VSP E5500 series experience in Installation, configuration
• Extensive experience in completing Security Assessment
• Experience in understanding the Operation assessment and Go Live criterias
• Hands on experience in Cohesity Backup Products from installation, configuration
