As a Principal Software Engineer on the Lab45 team,
- Write production quality code.
- Architect solutions for highly scalable and distributed systems.
- Be passionate about solving complex problems and learning new modern stacks
- Review code and provide feedback to ensure correctness and implementation of best practices.
- Contribute to or author system design documents, user guides and documentation.
- Identify and solve complex problems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and processes to improve software quality, performance, and reliability.
- Research various options for implementation and drive consensus towards the most suitable option.
- Triage and debug product issues to ensure functional correctness, performance and resiliency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering-related field (computer science, electrical engineering, etc.) or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages writing production code.
- Strong understanding of data structures or algorithms.
- Strong knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Java, Python or C++.
- Experience taking ideas from inception to launch.
- Experience working with highly scalable, fault-tolerant, secure and complaint architecture and systems.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong communication skills and bias for action
Preferred Qualifications- Understanding of product market fit, user experience, analytics, metrics and A/B testing.
- Experience working with highly scalable, fault-tolerant, secure and complaint architecture and systems.
- Experience in leading and mentoring a team of software engineers.
