ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Security Engineer to join Lab45 team in Wipro. As a Principal Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems, networks, and data. You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust security measures, driving security initiatives, and providing expert guidance to our engineering teams

• Lead and drive the design, implementation, and maintenance of security solutions, systems, and protocols to protect our organization's infrastructure, applications, and data.
• Conduct thorough security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities.
• Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls and practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to engineering teams in developing secure coding practices, architecture designs, and secure development methodologies.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies, and proactively recommend security enhancements and improvements.
• Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, and resolution of security incidents or breaches.
• Conduct security awareness training and education programs for employees to promote a culture of security awareness and compliance.
• Evaluate and recommend security products, tools, and services to enhance the organization's security posture.
• Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and industry experts to stay informed about emerging security threats and solutions.

• • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in designing, implementing, and managing security solutions and practices in complex environments.
  • Strong knowledge of network security, application security, cryptography, and secure coding principles.
  • Deep understanding of various security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS).
  • Hands-on experience with security assessment tools, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and experience in secure coding practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and respond effectively to security incidents.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
