The Google Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions for internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of GCP services, including Compute Engine, App Engine, and Cloud Storage. They will also have knowledge in scripting languages such as Python and/or Bash.

- Design, implement, and maintain GCP solutions for internal and external customers.
- Work with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with other engineers to design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure GCP solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot GCP solutions to ensure they are operating as expected.
- Stay up to date on the latest GCP technologies and best practices .
- Bachelor's degree from in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, required.
- +2 years of IT industry experience with GCP with good experience with a variety of GCP services, including Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, etc.
- Good proficiency in Python and/or Bash scripting
- Experience with other programming languages such as Java or C++
- Familiarity with networking and security concepts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Desirable skills
- Google across multiple cloud services: big data and analytics, (e.g., BigQuery), networking, serverless, AI / ML
- Knowledge in Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or GitHub
- CI/CD pipelines: experience with Cloud Build, Jenkins, or similar on GCP
- Proficiency in Python, especially for automation and serverless
- Familiar with IAM best practices, pricing models, usage monitoring, and techniques to reduce GCP spending
