Job Description
Citrix Specialist tasked with administering, troubleshooting, and optimizing the Citrix environment, addressing intricate technical challenges that demand advanced expertise. You will ensure effective communication and swift resolution during crisis to minimize downtime and user impact. Additionally, you will maintain the overall health and performance of the Citrix infrastructure, aligning with the organization's needs and user requirements, and document corrective actions and involved in the service improvement programs.
Responsibilities:
- Administer, Troubleshoot, and Optimize: Oversee the Citrix infrastructure, ensuring it runs efficiently and effectively. Address complex technical issues that require advanced expertise.
- Crisis Management: Ensure proactive communication to business and relevant stakeholders and resolution during crises to minimize downtime and impact on users.
- BAU/Operation Management: Manage ticketing and request queue to adhere to Service level agreement and focus on premium customer experience
- Taskforce Engagement: Join taskforces with other IT team to take corrective actions on highlighted issues and drive working toward the fix and stability with customer feedback
- Adherence to Standards: Ensure that all operations adhere to quality and security standards to protect the environment and data.
- Top Call driver Analysis: Perform trend analysis to identify recurring issues and implement solutions to reduce incidents.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive service improvement programs to enhance the performance and reliability of the Citrix environment.
- Application/patch deployments and Image releases: Co-ordinate and manage with various stakeholders to meet the security and release timeline requirements.
- Compliance: Ensure Citrix sites and application comply with industry regulations and internal company policies.
- Support: Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Citrix environment.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor usage and generate reports on compliance for deployments, daily site health, security incidents.
- Housekeeping: Perform clean-ups and conduct a thorough review of current Citrix Studio, WEM, and AD GPO policies to ensure consistency and report security considerations.
- Training: Conduct training sessions for end users and team for security, best practices, and performance optimization Work with integrated technical teams with existing Citrix infrastructure and ensure seamless operation.

Mandatory Skills:
- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7.X & 2402.X and Later Versions: Site administration, maintenance, housekeeping, and upgrades including Citrix Database upgrades and querying.
- VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), Published Application, Published Desktop, HSD (Hosted Shared Desktop): Provisioning, deployments, and image update.
- Citrix Workspace Environment Manager: Proficient in managing Citrix WEM (Workspace Environment Manager) 2402 and above and implementing and troubleshooting for Microsoft and Citrix Profile management solutions, UPM, WEM and Fslogix
- Operating Systems and Virtualization: Microsoft Windows 10 &11 / Microsoft Enterprise Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025) administration, migration and upgrades knowledge is good to have, Familiar on Hyper-V/VMware virtualization, Group Policies / Active Directory, Boot Media, Boot Image, Image creation / management
- System Center Suite: SCVMM (System Center Virtual Machine Manager) -working knowledge, SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) Task Sequence image capture/build/update and troubleshooting, SCOM (System Center Operations Manager) agent installation, troubleshooting and management on guest OS and Citrix golden image.
- Network: Strong understanding of networking concepts, including firewall, DMZ, proxies, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSL, and VPNs
- Operating Systems: Expertise in Windows Server 2019 & above and desktop operating systems Win 10 & above, as well as good to have experience with Linux.
- GPU Management: Familiarity with GPU cards, preferably NVIDIA and 3D applications performance troubleshooting.
- Security: Knowledge of security best practices and tools to ensure the Citrix environment is secure
- Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical thinking and proficiency in using Citrix, Microsoft, and network diagnostic tools and techniques to resolve issues.
- Communication Skills: Document issues, solutions, and procedures clearly and concisely. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively.
