As a Benefits Configuration Specialist at Wipro LLC within our Business Process Services division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of benefit plan databases that directly impact the delivery of healthcare services to our clients. This position requires collaboration across multiple teams, including IT, compliance, and client services, to gather detailed business requirements and translate these into precise benefit configuration settings. You will manage the full lifecycle of configuration activities, ensuring alignment with state and federal regulations such as HIPAA and ACA, and integrating these configurations seamlessly into our Facets system. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining data consistency and automating processes to optimize operational efficiency and claims processing accuracy.
In this position, you will be involved in complex problem-solving tasks including root cause analyses of system errors affecting benefit and pricing payment claims, enhancing system functionality through rigorous testing and debugging, and ensuring all updates meet quality and compliance standards. The Benefits Configuration Specialist functions as a subject matter expert in US healthcare benefits, managing sensitive data responsibly while upholding the highest standards of client communication and project execution. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update comprehensive benefit plans, provider contracts, and fee schedules to ensure data accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Develop and enforce configuration standards and best practices to optimize accuracy, efficiency, and automation in benefit configurations.
- Oversee integration efforts between internal systems and external programs, ensuring configuration aligns with business needs and technical requirements.
- Perform root cause analysis on system errors relating to benefits and pricing claims, designing and implementing effective resolutions promptly.
- Translate complex business specifications into detailed technical configurations, including non-systematic workaround processes when necessary.
- Interpret and apply specific state and federal benefits regulations into precise configuration parameters to support compliance and operational integrity.
- Manage testing cycles for new system functionalities and enhancements, track issues, and execute timely fixes through the development and implementation of thorough test plans and scripts.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including onshore and offshore colleagues, to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality projects consistently.
- Provide clear and effective communication to US-based clients to ensure alignment on requirements, delivery timelines, and issue resolution.

Required Qualifications and Competencies
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in US healthcare, specifically in benefits configuration including benefit coding, auto adjudication setup, and quality testing to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Hands-on experience with Facets system for medical plan benefit configurations, demonstrating strong technical proficiency in health insurance technology platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of US healthcare policies, benefits coding, validation processes, and familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA and ACA.
- Proficient understanding of various health insurance plans, including HMOs, PPOs, Medicare, and Medicaid, enabling accurate translation of policy requirements into system configurations.
- Strong communication skills with proven experience in engaging directly with US clients, fostering trust and ensuring clear understanding of project requirements and outcomes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently, prioritize effectively, and consistently meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Ability to work collaboratively within global teams, coordinating with both onshore and offshore colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of projects and accurate status reporting.
- Proficient with MS Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, facilitating comprehensive documentation and presentation of information.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and adaptability to navigate complex healthcare benefit configurations and resolve system or process challenges efficiently.

Mandatory Skills: Business Analyst/ Data Analyst(Maps) .
Experience: 1-3 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $33,000 to $76,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
