What You’ll Do 

Wind River Systems is seeking an experienced high-performing Senior Manager - Engineering for a position developing the industry’s most advanced embedded Linux development platform.  

The successful candidate will report to the Sr. Director Engineering, to build and lead a highly skilled development team delivering the Wind River Linux product and related tooling, pioneering many new industry leading capabilities. 

We are looking for someone with a balanced blend of technical skills, and softer skills like business acumen, decision making and communication skills. 

In the past you’ve: 

• Led Linux development teams, including development and test 
• Conceived and driven new features and functionality to delight our customers 
• Led planning, commitment and on-time delivery of new functionality 
• Embraced and executed Agile Development with CI/CD 

Responsibilities: 

• Manage international team of highly experienced Linux developers and testers  
• Work with Product Management and Product Architects to define Vision and Road map for LX product 
• Ensure smooth and timely execution of Road map and product deliveries 
• Motivate, support and inspire the Linux team 
• Be a Linux Engineering interface to customers as required 
• Maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including sales, product management and executive leadership 
• Drive best practices for engineering development in a DevSecOps environment 
• Actively engage with Open Source Community 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• 8+ years of experience in Engineering Management 
• Embedded Linux development experience  

• Expertise in CNCF, IOT, Device Management, RT development  
• Understanding of security requirements in edge devices and of common security standards 
• Knowledge of AI, ML and related middle ware 
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile 
• BSc / MSc degree (Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree).
