Within the Wind River Operating System team, we work on projects that deliver mission critical, robust, and deterministic Real Time Operation Systems suitable for a wide variety of mission critical applications including the aerospace and automotive industry. We are looking for experienced and high-performing individuals that can learn and contribute to these technologies.
Who You Will Work With:
The successful candidate will join a highly skilled "Helix Virtualization Platform" development team delivering mission critical Real-Time Operating System for avionics and automotive applications.
YOUR ROLE
As an Software Engineer on our team, you’ll be responsible for the development and testing of Operating system and Hypervisor features for our next generation Helix Virtualization platform. As a team member, your contributions encompass software design, coding and testing of new functionality or upgrading existing functionality.
In your daily job you will:
- Helping develop and test SW modules for VxWorks as well as HVP helping Wind River to grow in its role in new embedded and enterprise market segments.
- Use Gen AI for software development and testing.
- Take the initiative to improve features and processes.
- Contribute ideas for product improvements and iterations.
- Collaborate effectively with global software engineering teams.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
- Pursuing BE/BTech or ME/MTech degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent
- Good Knowledge of Operating systems, Virtual Machines and Hypervisors.
- Strong C / C++ & Assembly language
- Good Debugging skills using GDB or equivalent tools.
- Experience in scripting language e.g., Python preferred
- Experience in using emulators like QEMU preferred
- Linux Kernel Driver development preferred
