Job Description:
You will join the Engineering Operations team as a senior engineer, supporting Engineering applications. Initial focus will be learning to support a Java-based application. Once that knowledge transfer is complete, you will support and enhance that application and others like Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
Responsibilities:
- Support customers of internal applications written in Java and Python
- Support customers of 3rd-party applications
- Assist in infrastructure development and maintenance
- Perform infrastructure design reviews
The position requires strong Java and database skills, along with some experience with customer support.

This position will train in alignment with the Western time zone for the first 2-3 months. After this, the position will revert to regular hours.
Must have:
- 4 years customer/internal support experience with applications, preferably supporting web-based tools – must have worked with users to resolve issues
- 3 years MySQL and/or PostgreSQL database work/administration – working directly with the database
- 3 years Java application development and debugging – client/server applications if possible
- Knowledge of client-server applications and security (HTTPS, TLS 1.3)
- 3 years Linux/Unix user/administration experience – must know how to use a Linux machine
Strongly desired:
- Python development experience
- Bash scripting
Soft skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills in English
- Customer support experience
- Team player who works well in collaborative situations
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
