ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

 

The Sales Deal Desk is the single point of contact for driving and coordinating all “non-standard and ensuring the smooth execution of some of our largest and most strategic opportunities.  Candidates will be able to demonstrate their ability to maximize deal velocity while marshalling company resources efficiently and effectively to achieve a “win-win” result.  You will act as a key advisor to Sales, Legal, Finance, and Accounting, managing deal formation and flow, implementing policy, while reducing sales cycle times. We're looking for a proactive, independent thinker, with sound business acumen and excellent communication and collaboration skills. This is a key position that requires outstanding leadership, communication, and matrix management skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Determine the best course of action for complex pricing/negotiations/contractual business terms
  • Maintain a holistic view of a deal during negotiations; driving internal stakeholder discussions and collaborate with Sales owner to align on customer concerns or key business issues that arise during negotiations
  • Collaborating cross functionally to develop pricing strategies, and term sheets as part of the proposal building process primarily for large enterprise and strategic accounts
  • Be a sales-facing, or occasionally customer-facing, subject matter expert on deal structuring, processes, and policies
  • Partnering with Sales Operations, and others as required, to drive process improvements and automation, ensure operational efficiencies
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment to help meet deadlines and effectively maximize Wind River resources
  • Ability to understand broader business and financial issues and juggle multiple projects and tasks
  • Coordinate Deal approval requests and tracking process

 

Requirements:

  • 5 years related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be able to understand the complex business issues that drive the deals and arrive at the best “win-win” solutions
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of the pricing models, products and contract terms
    • Ability to analyze & recommend the best course of action for complex pricing & licensing situations
    • Drive consensus among decision makers
  • Must be a self-starter, able to act autonomously, and make quick sound decisions
  • Excellent organizational and execution skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Clear and thoughtful communicator with exceptional critical thinking skills
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Financials, Salesforce.com and Revenue Recognition guidelines desired

 Compensation        

The annual base salary range for this role’s listed grade level is currently $107,00 to $140,000 plus bonus for residents in the states of Colorado, New York and New Jersey; and $110,000 to $145,000 plus bonus for residents in the states of California and Washington, and the NYC area. Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, location and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. Employees in this role are also eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the terms of the Company's plans: health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, flex time off, eligibility to enroll in 401k, 12 paid holidays.
