About the Role
Wind River is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director, Finance to join our dynamic Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This high-impact role reports to the Head of FP&A and partners closely with the leaders of Professional Services, Customer Support, and IT and will provide strategic financial insights, operational support, and analytical rigor to help these business units optimize performance and deliver on our long-term growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary finance partner to the Professional Services, Customer Support, and IT leadership teams, offering actionable insights and data-driven recommendations.
- Lead financial planning processes for these functions including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and performance tracking.
- Develop and maintain financial models that enable scenario analysis, margin analysis, resource planning, and ROI evaluations.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including accruals, variance analysis, and reporting packages in coordination with accounting and corporate finance teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting and forecasting tools, systems, and processes.
- Collaborate with Corporate FP&A and other functional finance teams to ensure alignment with company-wide goals and consistent financial practices.
- Provide executive-ready materials and insights for leadership reviews, business updates, and presentations.
- Support investment business cases and ROI analysis for key services and IT related initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks while helping to surface opportunities for operational efficiency and margin improvement.
- Mentor and develop a small team of analysts (where applicable), promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth.

About You

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance roles, ideally within a SaaS or enterprise software company
- Prior experience supporting Professional Services, Customer Support, or IT organizations preferred
- Strong proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Salesforce, or Looker is a plus
- Experience operating in a multinational or matrixed environment is highly desirable

Compensation
The annual base salary range for this role’s listed grade level is $TBD to $TBD plus a bonus for Colorado, New York, and New Jersey residents, and $188,000 to $250,000 plus a bonus for SF Bay Area, Greater Seattle, NYC, and Washington, DC, residents. Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. Employees in this role are also eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the terms of the Company's plans: health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, flex time off, eligibility to enroll in 401k, and 12 paid holidays.
