Marketing Communications Manager

The Marketing Communications Manager is a global role that is responsible for developing and implementing various marketing communications initiatives in support of the Firm's brand positioning and business development objectives.

He or she plays a crucial role in developing cohesive campaign strategies, integrating various elements of the communications mix, such as marketing communications, media relations, video production, and internal communications, to ensure that the Firm's message is conveyed consistently and effectively across different channels and to various audiences.

He or she plays a key role in developing and guiding marketing communications activity across the Firm and driving awareness and understanding of our brand among external audiences. Reporting to the Marketing Communications Director, he or she supports key stakeholders in ensuring that content is high quality, compelling and builds the White & Case brand.

Key Responsibilities



Marketing Communications Strategy:
  • Utilise research for marketing strategy and campaign development
  • Collaborate with senior managers to align audience insights with business goals and evolving brand strategy
Marketing Communications Programmes:
  • Collaborate on integrated marketing programmes to support the Firm's brand and priorities, and work with internal/external agencies to manage our website presence
You will also work closely with partners, internal teams, and external agencies to:
  • Identify avenues for thought leadership, and craft campaigns centered around key issues
  • Create materials supporting business development, such as white papers, client alerts, and digital tools, while also guiding the development of diverse marketing content such as ads, web materials, and thought leadership pieces
A dvisory and Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with partners, internal teams, and external agencies to champion brand strategy implementation
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advise on innovation for enhanced external engagement
  • Ensure marketing communications align with brand objectives, providing guidance globally and sharing best practices across offices
Quantifying and Reporting Results:
  • Design systems to monitor success and implement initiatives to communicate and demonstrate the value of global marketing communications programmes

Qualifications and skills
  • Educated to degree level and/or CIM qualification
  • At least 7 years of experience in marketing communications, including previous experience of developing, project managing and implementing integrated marketing communications strategies and campaigns, with a strong emphasis on social and digital activity
  • Proficiency in social media management and content creation
  • Knowledgeable in communication theory and design
  • Experience in global organisations, with a strong global mindset
  • Background in legal or professional services, ideally with agency and client-side exposure
  • Demonstrable emotional intelligence, project management skills, and the ability to navigate changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

    Location and Reporting

    This role will be based in our London office and will report into the Marketing Communications Director.
    Our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for 3 days in the office per week.
