You'll lead L&D in line with our strategy, managing resources across EMEA to ensure effective training and career growth. This will mean integrating capability requirements, enhancing performance through diverse learning channels, and collaborating with stakeholders to address career development needs at all levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations: you will be accountable for the smooth running of L&D operations in EMEA: This will involve overseeing junior team members handling day-to-day operations, reviewing curriculum proposals, presenting budget recommendations to ensure alignment with global programs, overseeing budget requests, managing leave coverage, and driving process improvements
  • Professional Output: Conducting Learning Needs Analyses, designing learning aligned with business needs and professional skills, and formulating integrated delivery strategies. You will also be responsible for utilising internal expertise to challenge internal speakers for best practice design, innovating learning approaches, and facilitating training & career development programmes
  • Vendor & Programme Management: Sourcing vendors and ensuring their work aligns with company values and latest thinking, as well as managing contracts per Procurement's procedures. You will also programme manage and lead several complex L&D events, whilst being the point of contact for regulatory training requests in EMEA, working alongside the global Compliance Training Manager
  • Business Partner: You will serve as a Business Partner, integrating specialised courses and advising on best practices for functions such as D&I and BD, whilst providing guidance to Professional Support Lawyers for effective training delivery and collaborating with the Early Career team for alignment with junior associate programmes
  • Stakeholder Management & Leadership: Acting as a liaison between the EMEA L&D team and senior executives to secure support for programmes, and developing relationships with local HR and office contacts to maintain expertise. You will also work to prepare senior stakeholders' materials for program sessions, and support junior team members while developing their professional skills expertise

Qualifications and skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in training development and delivery, instructional design, and learning solutions
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Advanced degree in Psychology, Organisational Behaviour, Organisational Development, or related field is beneficial
  • Professional services experience, particularly in a law firm, is advantageous
  • Coaching qualification and psychometric qualifications, such as Hogan (preferred), are desirable

    Location & Reporting

    This role is based in our London office, and reports into the Senior Manager, L&D, EMEA

    Our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for 3 days in the office per week.

    This role will require travel within the EMEA region, several times a year, in order to deliver large programmes.
