About the Team/Role

We're the Global Information Security Team at WEX, responsible for implementing and operating security technologies and processes throughout WEX. We partner closely with internal teams and customers to assure WEX operates in a secure and compliant manner. Our team holds itself to a high-standard and we collaborate closely with one another to ensure strong, reliable and effective relationships. We own our results and we take pride of ownership in everything we do.

  • Have exceptional knowledge in one or two commonly used Information Security tools/platforms;
  • Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware;
  • Install/implement and configure security applications that monitor systems & infrastructures;
  • Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures;
  • Plan, develop, implement and update the company's information security strategy;
  • Handle security business-critical tasks and security systems administration;
  • Install, configure, update and troubleshoot our global security tools and services;
  • Identify, define and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management;
  • Develop, execute and track the performance of security measures to protect the information, servers, and computer systems;
  • Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and recommendations for security enhancement;
  • Have a diverse background in IT, security, and supporting processes.
Experience you'll bring

At a minimum, you:
  • Hands-on experience with Venafi Trust Protection Platform (TPP), including installation, configuration, and administration;
  • Strong understanding of cryptography principles, PKI concepts, and X.509 certificate standards;
  • Experience with scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash;
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS);
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
  • Experience in Enterprise Information Security Engineering;
  • Have a strong, practical understanding of modern IT infrastructure, networking, and security engineering concepts;
  • Are able to troubleshoot information security issues within a complex environment;
  • Experience in engineering and implementing solutions that meet security, compliance, and business needs;
  • Can commit and deliver on very specific project/delivery timelines with minimal supervision;
  • Are able to work in an on-call rotation which may include some night and weekend shifts;
  • Have excellent customer support skills, both written and verbal.

  • Relevant certifications for Venafi Certified Implementation Engineer
  • Experience working with Netskope Suite
  • Experience working with CrowdStrike Suite
  • Experience working with HSM's
  • Experience working with key management platforms
  • Experience working with certificate management tools
